Born: 1972, Paris, France

 

Through his paintings Romain E likes to render a seducing ideal Americana along with other countries and cities he visits or resides in, paying particular attention to street scenes, petrol stations and holiday scenes.

 

He captures people who are in close proximity to one and other, devoid of any kind of communication, creating a peaceful and calming undertone throughout the painting. His use of softened lights enhances this peaceful aura as well as contributing to the scenes he portrays as idealized ones.
