Born: 1956, Montevideo, Uruguay
Elena Molinari mostly works with oil on canvas and her hyperrealistic works often inspired by old masters such as Pieter Claesz and Christoffel Van Den Berghe. She is well known for her still life paintings of vases and fruit bowls but is also popular for her glossy, highly finished works of crumpled coca-cola cans.
She has found much success both in Spain and abroad, with exhibitions in the UK, Italy, Switzerland, Puerto Rico, China, Colombia, Chile, United States, Bolivia, Argentina and Uruguay.
