Glen Semple

Canadian artist Glen Semple grew up in a family that valued art. Both his parents were amateur artists and encouraged his artistic development from an early age. After working as a gallery assistant, printer, cabinet maker and graphic artist, in 1998 Semple decided to fully devote himself to painting. 

Semple’s delicate still lifes celebrate the beauty of the everyday. Fascinated with the transparency of glass, reflections and the distortions caused by water, the artist creates exquisite floral compositions filled with vibrant colours and complex details that transmit a radiant energy.

Playing with light, value, textures and the illusion of depth, Glen Semple offers a playful view of the environment that surrounds us. The artist has been part of numerous exhibitions in Canada and the UK, and his work can be found in public and private collections around the world.
