Patricia Casanova was born in Valencia Spain and is a self taught hyper-realist painter. Casanova has a degree in law but always felt the urge to fulfil and express herself creatively, through art.
About 10 years ago Casanova decided to take a leap of faith and embarked on a full-time career as a painter. Her paintings focus on popular everyday objects such as trainers. She combines daily elements with photographic backgrounds, continuously trying to highlight pop art as the foundation of modern art. Her aim is to elevate everyday objects into works of art; its artistic value lies not only in the technique used but also on the fact that it mentally transports us to our everyday reality, while subtly challenging our consumerist society.
