Overview

Francesco Stile, Neapolitan, born in 1965, comes from a painter’s family with both his mother and grandfather armature view-painters. He started his art education young, growing up studying and copying the art of portrait painter Carlo Roberto Volpe in his studio.

At the beginning of the 90’s he opened and studio and devoted himself to painter’s imitations, with specific focus on the 1600’s Caravaggio’s school.

It was in 1997 that he was first introduced to hyperrealism and he has never looked back. He now devotes himself to photo-realist still life works that beautifully embody both contemporary and traditional approaches to painting.
